about

Manu Gruber is a German-Italian photographer. Having completed her master's degree in Art History, Literature, and Romance Studies, she is currently studying at the Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie in Göran Gnaudschun's graduating class. In her personal work, she primarily examines issues regarding the topics of origin, memories, and the visualization of inner images. By combining autobiographical experiences with fictional narration, her projects also focus on topics such as religion, metaphysics, and superstition. Her visual language does not prescribe any fixed interpretations, but presents a subjective, associative approach in order to leave scope for one's own position.
